On July 23rd, 24th and 25th, the National Eagle Center will be offering free admission to our eagle programs and other great kids’ activities. Due to hail damage on the air conditioning unit, the building will be closed for repairs Monday July 23, Tuesday July 24th and possibly Wednesday July 25th. During this time, we will be offering our eagle education programs outside under a tent at 11am, 1pm and 3pm, free of charge. We’re also bringing some special guest programs for everyone to enjoy.
On Monday, July 23rd, Oxbow Park naturalists will present programs with live animals at 12pm and 2pm. Come and meet owls, hawks, snakes and more!
Bring the kids for Fishing for Eagles, our free kids’ fishing program. Fishing for Eagles will be offered 12pm-4pm on July 23-26. The National Eagle Center will provide all the gear you’ll need. Just check out the rod and reel, life jacket, and even bait, and head for the water. Kids 15 and under can fish for free.
On Tuesday July 24th, Minnesota DNR Fisheries will offer a free program and demonstration. Time, TBA.
We’ll also have kites to fly and fun fishing games with National Eagle Center naturalists. This is your chance for some FREE summertime fun along the river. All programs will take place outdoors at the National Eagle Center, 50 Pembroke Ave, Wabasha, MN. Program schedule is subject to change and will proceed weather permitting.
