“SOAR with the Eagles” Events for the weekend of March 17th & 18th
Our feature program this weekend is the Cincinnati Zoo’s Wings of Wonder bird show. This show features Rio, a Hyacinth Macaw, Arik, a Steller’s Sea Eagle and many other feathered friends. You’ll be delighted by the birds calling, flying, mimicking and just plain outsmarting their trainers! Saturday 11am and 2pm, Sunday 12pm and 2pm. All feature programs will be held at St Felix auditorium, Pembroke Ave, Wabasha, MN.
The National Eagle Center’s Live Eagle programs will be offered regularly throughout the weekend in our first floor classroom. Regular NEC admission rates include feature programs and live eagle programs. Any additional fees are noted below.

Saturday, March 17th
9:30am-11am - Photo with an Eagle – Bring your camera and get your photo with one of the National Eagle Center Eagle Ambassadors. $5 with your camera, FREE for NEC members. (additional $5 to get an NEC print of your photo with an eagle)
11am –Cincinnati Zoo’s Wings of Wonder, our feature presentation with Rio, a Hyacinth Macaw, Arik, a Steller’s Sea Eagle and many other feathered friends. St. Felix auditorium, Pembroke Ave.
11:30am – David Stokes presents Have to Have a Habitat - Animals that Live Where Eagles Live! David is a naturalist, storyteller and humorist and award-winning environmental educator. Second floor classroom.
11:00am-1:00pm – Quarry Hill naturalist Kurt Payne with his kestrel. Second floor table.
1pm – A Photographic Tour of Canadian National Parks with Larry Ricker. Amazing photography of some of the continent’s most astonishing beauty. Take this photographic tour with photographer Larry Ricker who has traveled extensively by car, bike, canoe and foot gathering magnificent photos along the way. Second floor classroom.

Dick Mindykowski – Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Chippewa craftsman creates woodland gifts created from wood and animal products harvested from the outdoors. Walking sticks, canes, turtle rattles, beaver shields, dream catchers, leather pouches. All hand tanned and carved.

Big River Outdoors – Take a look at wild eagles from our observation deck through Swarowski scopes and binoculars with help from the experts at Big River Outdoors. Register to win a free pair of binoculars.
