Classroom Programs Daily

Have you ever wondered “How much does an eagle weigh?” “How big is their wingspan?” The answers await you in these engaging and entertaining classroom programs. Through hands-on and interactive teaching our staff of naturalists will share the biology, ecology and natural history of bald and golden eagles. All of our presenters are knowledgeable, engaging and eager to share their passion for eagles with visitors of all ages. Programs offered daily and each feature one of our eagle ambassadors. Our classroom program typically last about 45 minutes and each program features one of the live eagle ambassadors. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis.

Meet the Educators

Scott Mehus

Passionate about the natural world, Scott enjoys sharing his knowledge with visitors of all ages in his engaging and interactive programs. Scott directs the Education Department and has degrees in Environmental Interpretation and Recreation and Leisure Studies.

In Anna’s program, you’ll discover what makes an eagle a fierce raptor, learn about the decline and remarkable recovery of the bald eagle and what we can do to protect the eagle today!
Becky Summerfield

Becky will warmly welcome you into our classroom and share her knowledge of eagles and raptors with a smile! You’ll learn about eagle behavior, see some of their personality and enjoy watching them eat (and sometimes attempting to share) their lunch.
