Director of Development
The National Eagle Center is in the beginning stages of a $25 million organizational expansion that will more than double the current facility and significantly increase our mission impact, audience reach, brand awareness and reputation. The Director of Development will have a key role in realizing this growth. The successful candidate will be one who thrives in a highly collaborative work situation and can strategically build on the organization’s solid fundraising, membership, and capital campaign history. 

The National Eagle Center is a dynamic organization, education center and museum that attracted over 83,000 visitors last year. Set in the heart of Wabasha’s historic downtown, we are a year round tourist destination with a major economic impact on the region. Our collaborative, mission-focused team includes 11 full-time staff, and numerous part-time staff and volunteers. Together, we offer a unique world-class experience to visitors from around the country and around the world.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for the National Eagle Center’s mission and impact
  • Bachelors degree minimum
  • Demonstrated success in leading fundraising processes and systems
  • Track record of delivering superior results, building teams, and assuming leadership roles
  • Proven ability to work with high standards and integrity, efficiency, flexibility, and good humor
