Experience Wild Eagles Like Never Before!

Where can you go to see wild bald and golden eagles during the winter? The possibilities are endless in the Driftless Region of Minnesota and Wisconsin, and the experts at the National Eagle Center are available to guide you and your small group to prime bald and golden eagle habitat!

Follow your naturalist guide in your own vehicle to pre-scouted viewing locations to observe bald eagles, nesting sites, migrating waterfowl, gorgeous scenery, and the beautiful, but elusive golden eagles that overwinter in the region. Bring your family (immediate households ONLY), binoculars, and dress for the weather, and prepare to be amazed at the sites you see and the knowledge you gain!

In The Field Habitat Tours include:

– Premium 2 1/2 hour experiences
– Expert guides and scouted locations
– Your choice of bald eagle or golden eagle focus
– Personalized one on one learning with an eagle expert in the field
– Complimentary collectible replica eagle band for each attendee
– Free passes for admission to the Center when we re-open to visitors

Member Household (1 vehicle, maximum of 5 people): $425*
*Receive the member discount if the person registering or paying for it is a member.
Non-Member Household (1 vehicle, maximum of 5 people): $450

NOTICE:

Habitat Tours are for immediate households ONLY

Facemasks are required and social distancing will be maintained throughout the tour.

No guests will be allowed inside the building – please use the restrooms at Kwik Trip prior to arrival.

Your naturalist guide will meet you at the Center’s front door at your scheduled timeslot.

Please shop the gift store online prior to your tour.
Choose the pick-up option and you will receive your items when you arrive for your tour.

Additional Policies

Youth ages 17 and under must be accompanied by at least one adult. Your In The Field Habitat Tour can visit handicap accessible only locations if requested in advance. Masks are required when outside of vehicles. Dress appropriately for the weather. Tours will take place in cold and rain so long as it is safe to travel. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own binoculars and scopes.

Cancellation / Reschedule Policy

The National Eagle Center reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to hazardous travel or weather conditions, staff, or public health concerns. Full refunds will be provided for tours cancelled by the National Eagle Center.
