Live Eagle Programs at 11am, 1pm and 3pm

Have you ever wondered “How much does an eagle weigh?” “How big is their wingspan?” The answers await you in these engaging and entertaining live eagle programs. Through hands-on and interactive teaching our staff of naturalists will share the biology, ecology and natural history of bald and golden eagles. All of our presenters are knowledgeable, engaging and eager to share their passion for eagles with visitors of all ages. Programs offered daily at 11am, 1pm and 3pm and each feature one of our eagle ambassadors.

Meet the Naturalists

Scott Mehus
Scott MehusEducation Director and Golden Eagle Project
Passionate about the natural world, Scott enjoys sharing his knowledge with visitors of all ages in his engaging and interactive programs. Scott directs the Education Department and has degrees in Environmental Interpretation and Recreation and Leisure Studies.
Jennifer Drayna
Jennifer DraynaNaturalist Educator and Avian Care Specialist
Eagles are adapted to survive as aerial predators and Jennifer enjoys sharing some of these amazing adaptations with visitors. Jennifer also manages the training, care and husbandry of our resident eagles and hawk.
Bucky Flores

Through the use of humor, storytelling, and audience participation you’ll see how humans and eagles are connected through history, culture and the environment, while learning about eagle biology, ecology and behavior.

In Anna’s program, you’ll discover what makes an eagle a fierce raptor, learn about the decline and remarkable recovery of the bald eagle and what we can do to protect the eagle today!

Becky will warmly welcome you into our classroom and share her knowledge of eagles and raptors with a smile! You’ll learn about eagle behavior, see some of their personality and enjoy watching them eat (and sometimes attempting to share) their lunch.

Enjoy an informative eagle program with Kenzie Kline as she introduces you to one of the eagle ambassadors. Learn about the eagle life cycle, their behavior and even engage in some Q&A! Kenzie is happy to provide the answers to all your burning eagle questions.

Program Details

A live eagle program typically last about 45 minutes and each program features one of the live eagle ambassadors. Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. We recommend you arrive early to ensure seating.
