Your Home For On the Lake and On the River Cruises!

The National Eagle Center sits along the banks of the Upper Mississippi River in the heart of the Driftless Area. We enjoy spectacular natural beauty and a bounty of native birds and wildlife year round.

As part of our mission to “Connect people with eagles in nature, history and cultures”, we are pleased to offer interpretive cruises on the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. These cruises offer our guests excellent opportunities to view and learn about bald eagles and other native wildflife, the history of or natural resources and the current threats they face from our expert naturalists and relax while enjoying the natural beauty of the Upper Mississippi River Valley.

Reservations are only $30 for National Eagle Center members and $40 for non-members. Seating is limited.

Below are listings and details for upcoming On the Lake and On the River cruises. Join us for a fun, educational and relaxing cruise!

Please Note:

Physical tickets will not be issued. Reservations will add your name and those of any additional guests to the cruise guest list. On the day of the cruise, you will be checked-in prior to boarding the Pearl of the Lake.

Join us on the Pearl of the Lake and enjoy a leisurely two-hour summer cruise. Our naturalists will be onboard to present an educational program about the lake and its inhabitants. Learn about the importance of Lake Pepin as a critical habitat along the Upper Mississippi River Flyway for migrating waterfowl and the current challenges the lake faces due to sedimentation. Plus, get real-time interpretation about wildlife that we view during the trip around the lake. We’re sure to see some bald eagles, gulls and other native birds, so bring your binoculars and burning questions about Lake Pepin and native wildlife.

Because of their unique design and regulatory characteristics, excursion vessels are not subject to the same ADA Accessibility Guidelines that buildings are. That said, we make every reasonable effort to assist and accommodate passengers with special needs. Coast Guard regulations require raised thresholds in doorways for water barriers.  Our on-board restrooms are not large enough to accommodate wheelchairs.
