Purchase Admission

You can purchase admission upon arrival OR purchase admission and reserve seats in advance for a fast and easy admission process. Choose your desired date in the order form by clicking “other dates”, purchase your ticket(s), and provide your name at the front desk upon arrival. Reserving seats ensures you have a spot in the program – walk-ins are not guaranteed to get it due to high demand.

To protect the health and safety of our visitors, staff, and resident eagles we do not allow pets inside the National Eagle Center. Service animals are permitted but are restricted from the resident eagles’ enclosure area and programs. Our federal permits state that there are no animals allowed, including service dogs, in the same room as our eagles.

Premium Experience Schedule

Behind the Scenes Tour
(45 min)
$75/person

 

Join Avian Care staff and tour the brand-new state-of-the-art avian care facility and learn what goes into the daily care of the ambassadors. Learn about their housing, training, and ask any burning questions you’ve wondered about. Plus, visit Hollywood the Red-tailed Hawk in her home! Limited to 6 guests per tour!

Note: Not for children five years old and under. Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian. Requires some walking and standing for the duration of tour. Closed-toe shoes encouraged.

Flag Raising Ceremony & Acknowledgment

10 am 

Join us at opening for a flag raising ceremony by the Wabasha American Legion Post 50. Followed by a Bald Eagle Day Acknowlegement in the amphatheater before our first Eagle program of the day!

Live Eagle Program

10:30 am & 2:30 pm

Discover the wonders of nature with our immersive education program! The program is perfect for learners of all ages! Our programs bring you a fun, interactive experience to learn everything you need to know about eagles! The program also features one of our live Eagle Ambassadors for an eagle experience like no other.

Native Pride Productions

12:30 pm

 Native Pride dancers breathe life into an exhilarating fusion of modern and traditional Native American dance styles. Adorned in striking regalia an explosion of colors with ribbons, feathers, beads, and furs our dancers pay homage to our elders while illuminating the legacy of our cultural arts. Through our performances, we inspire and educate, blending the contemporary with the primal to express the richness of our heritage, engaging every muscle in the dance of life. 

I ‘Saw’ it in MN

10am – 4pm

I Saw it in MN will be doing two eagle statue carvings and one bench carving. We plan to raffle off one of the item as this event!

Oxbow Park & Zollman Zoo

10am – 4pm

Meet a naturalist from Oxbow Park and learn about some of their zoo artifacts that they have brought with them!

Wabasha Lions Club

Starting at 10am

Enjoy a Walking Taco made by the The Wabasha Lions Club while supplies last!

American Eagle Gallery

Learn about the eagle’s role in American history and culture from the founding of the nation to the present day.

The Preston Cook American Eagle Collection is the world’s largest single collection focused on eagles. Consisting of over 40,000 individual pieces, this unique collection of fine art, historical artifacts, and memorabilia, highlights the presence of eagles across American culture. We’ll introduce you to the collector, Preston Cook, and highlight some key items on display in the American Eagle Gallery.

Our most popular items include plush eagles and animals, birding books, and our famous “Tough Old Bird” t-shirts and sweatshirts. You’ll also find high-quality framed and canvas art as well as keepsakes to commemorate your visit to the eagles. And, of course, your purchases help support the care of the eagles and our educational mission!

Parking

Parking is available on the street and in public lots in downtown Wabasha.

We ask that you refrain from bringing open food or beverages into all resident eagle areas.

Smoking and e-cigarettes

Smoking, e-cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, or similar are not permitted inside the National Eagle Center.

No solicitations

In order to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, staff, and volunteers, it is the policy of the National Eagle Center to exclude public solicitations at the National Eagle Center. Visitors who engage in such behavior will be asked to leave.
