Our senior eagle ambassador Angel came to the National Eagle Center in 2000. The story goes that Angel received her name when she spread her wings and gently touched the shoulder of a visiting 4th-grade student with her wingtip causing to the student to proclaim, “I’ve been touched by an angel!”
For 18 years, Angel has continued to touch the lives of countless students, veterans, and visitors from around the world with her beauty and majestic stature. Through her important work as an educational ambassador, Angel connects people to eagles in nature, history, and cultures. She fosters an interest, love, and concern for our most precious resource – our environment. But she and the other eagle ambassadors at the National Eagle Center cannot do this important work alone.
This holiday season we warmly invite you to be an “Angel” and help us carry out this important mission through membership or generous financial contribution. Together, we can give the gift of education, inspiration, and eagles. Join us today!
