We are a Blue Star Museum

Serving active-duty military personnel and their families

Blue star museum

We are proud to support United States military personnel and their families, who bravely and selflessly protect and serve our country.

As a Blue Star Museum, we collaborate with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 2,000 museums across America to offer FREE ADMISSION to active-duty military personnel and their families. Free admission does not include the seat reservation fee for programs.

Through Labor Day.

Must show proof of active duty status at admission.

Am I eligible for free admission?

Free admission is available to any bearer of a Geneva Convention common access card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID card (dependent ID), or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card.

How many family members can I bring?

Bring up to five family members. The active-duty member does not have to be present.

What if my spouse is deployed? Can my family and I still participate?

Yes, spouses of deployed military are eligible for Blue Star Museums. Just bring your DD Form 1173 ID Card, or DD Form 1173-1 ID Card, for active-duty military family members.

Does this program include admission for veterans and retirees?

No. Free admission is reserved for those with a Geneva Convention Common Access Card (CAC), a DD Form 1173 ID Card, or a DD Form 1173-1 ID card. We do offer free admission to veterans over Veterans Day weekend.

What if I do not have a valid ID?

We will honor your word and provide free admission should you inform us that either you or your family member are active-duty military.
