Located along the banks of the Mississippi River in Wabasha, Minnesota, we are home to four rescued eagles and a Red-Tailed Hawk who have all become our cherished ambassadors.

We invite you to learn about eagles, stand face-to-face with a live eagle, and watch wild eagles soar above our observation deck.

You can purchase admission upon arrival OR purchase admission and reserve seats in advance for a fast and easy admission process. Choose your desired date from the calendar below, purchase your ticket(s), and provide your name at the front desk upon arrival. Reserving seats ensures you have a spot in the program – walk-ins are not guaranteed to get it due to high demand.

Please note:

The National Eagle Center regularly produces promotional materials and you may be photographed or video recorded during your visit. Your paid admission and receipt serve as your permission to be photographed and/or recorded.

Service animals are permitted but are restricted from the resident eagles’ enclosure area and programs. Our federal permits state that there are no animals allowed, including service dogs, in the same room as our eagles.

Considered a must-see tourist attraction, the National Eagle Center is one of the rare places where you get to stand a few feet away from a majestic Bald Eagle, with no barrier in between. Get to know our eagle ambassadors, and plan to meet them face-to-face.

Experience two floors of exhibits, which include a hands-on interactive area, connections to eagles, the land and the River by regional Dakota peoples, Masters of the Sky where you learn how to identify native raptors, the environment of the Upper Mississippi River National Wildlife Refuge, and the art and history of eagles in America.

Allow plenty of time for your group to explore our two floors of displays and exhibits, view wild eagles from our observation deck, attend live eagle and other engaging programs, and visit the gift stores.

Live Eagle Program

Plan a visit they’ll never forget from a LIVE eagle ambassador

Our LIVE eagle program is ideal for larger groups. Whether your group attends in person or online, our naturalist interpreters will provide an engaging and entertaining presentation customized to your group’s interests.

Programs are approximately 45 minutes in length and each features a live eagle ambassador.

Parking is available on the street and in public lots in downtown Wabasha.

We are fully handicapped accessible with an elevator and can provide a wheelchair for the duration of your visit.

Animal Policies

We ask that you refrain from bringing open food or beverages into all resident eagle areas.

Smoking and e-cigarettes

Smoking, e-cigarettes, vapor cigarettes, or similar are not permitted inside the National Eagle Center.

No solicitations

In order to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all guests, staff, and volunteers, it is the policy of the National Eagle Center to exclude public solicitations at the National Eagle Center. Visitors who engage in such behavior will be asked to leave.
