Center offers complimentary admission for active-duty personnel, veterans

Wabasha, MN – November 11 is Veterans Day and to honor the service and sacrifice of our veterans, the National Eagle Center is offering complimentary admission for all active-duty military personnel and veterans beginning on November 1.

“We know Bald Eagles, the living symbol of our nation, hold a very special significance for men and women in uniform and those who have bravely served in our nation’s armed forces,” said Ed Hahn, Director of Marketing and Communications at the National Eagle Center. “It is an honor to provide the opportunity to those brave individuals who serve all of us to meet the eagle ambassadors.”

This special admission program is being sponsored by a partnership and generous donation by AmericanEagle.com.

Flag-Raising Ceremony on November 11

The National Eagle Center invites members of the public to attend a Veterans Day flag-raising ceremony on Saturday, November 11 at 12:00 p.m. conducted by the American Legion Post #50 and Burkhardt-Roemer VFW Post #4086 in Wabasha.

The Center has a long tradition of working with veterans and veterans’ groups, including traveling outreach with eagle ambassadors to the VA Hospital in St. Paul for special programs. The Center’s first ambassador, Harriet, is currently featured on the Minnesota Support Our Troops license plate as a tribute to the work she did with veterans.
